So I know the workshop was supposed to be about photography. And it was. But for me it was also very much about the people who went. Andrea & Martin, there is no doubt that I was watching and learning from masters at work, your knowledge – holy cow – it was just pure joy to watch you guys in action and a privilege to learn from you.  A huge thank you for inspiring me and treating me with respect in a field where I am a total newbie – I am so grateful to you for your advice on my book and more. Moe – I loved talking to you about street photography. And I love your work. And thank you so much for your advice. You are a wizard. Aran, thank you for organizing everything, and especially accommodating me and being so understanding. The dried fruit wasn’t enough to express my thanks! I left early. My dad passed away at the end of September so that extra day meant a lot to me. Thank you so much for your excellent cooking – I loved every bite. And I still have cravings for that salad we enjoyed on the beach. Charity, thank you for the lovely ride to the ferry boat on Sunday and your cooking and looking after us.  I hope to see you up in Canada at some point! Jim, thank you for your hospitality and those delicious Dungeness crabs. I am still thinking about how beautiful your kitchen is. And those crabs. I hope I will get a chance to visit your shop soon. Riley, thank you for being such a wonderful host. Your farm is so peaceful and full of warmth, and just thinking of Stella still makes me laugh! And to everyone who I met who attended: even before I arrived I was looking forward to meeting you all, and even before it ended I was hoping that we might have the chance to meet again some day. Getting to meet people who have similar interests is just wonderful, and meeting people whose work I have admired on Instagram is really special. I enjoyed getting to know all of you and I really do hope that we might have the chance to meet again or even work together in future. You are all warmly invited to visit me in Cyprus – just let me know – it’s a beautiful country with fantastic photo opportunities and great food, be it a quirky place. And also if you are ever on Vancouver Island (which is where I am most months this year), please get in touch. Big love, C. Here are the profiles of all who attended (thank you Tami for the links):
